Title: brakes for 1966 8" c code rear?
Post by: mustangted on December 18, 2011, 04:29:32 PM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10 x 1 3/4 or 2" ?

Whats the difference between prior to 4/66 wheel cylinders and post.

I have no idea when the rear was made as not original to my car.

Definitely 1-3/4" shoes. Not sure about the wheel cylinders, however.

Before 4-15-66, all V-8 rear brake cylinders were 29/32 inch ID, after that date and thru the 68 model year for small block V-8s, they were 7/8 inch ID, a bit smaller. Master cylinders were not changed at that time.
