Title: 66 Convertible Wheelhouse PADDING
Post by: bryancobb on March 13, 2012, 06:52:33 AM
On my MAR 66 Metuchen Conv't...The convertible top folds down and rests on the flat surfaces of the wheelhouses.  Those flat surfaces have a thin pad of some type synthetic batting to prevent rattling. (C5ZB-7632208)

Mine are ratty and I'm redoing them.  They WERE white with a green upper surface.  Is that the norm?  The padding that Mustang parts houses have as the padding for 65 66 convertible quarter trim upholstery is a very close match except for the green upper surface.

I was hoping someone might have a picture of an unrestored car showing this detail, to compare the way mine looked.

Hello from good old Germany.

I'm searching for a replacement. Can someone post picture from that padding?
What a kind of material can I use for a replacement?
Thanks for your help.
