I wasn't sure what the GT 15/16 bar brackets should be color wise.

The 15/16 brackets did not automatically come on the GT Mustang as your post seems to imply (for others reading) . GT350/GT500 yes. The special bar that the brackets fit came on competition suspension equipped cars. Regardless they were bare steel . Scott Fuller Reproductions sells a excellent repro and his pictures on his site depict perfectly how they should look when new.  I use T9 boeshield to preserve the proper look.

I think the question was about the brackets, not the bar itself.

Jim,I amended the post for clarity. The 15/16 brackets only fit the special 15/16 bar .The brackets (they) are bare steel. FYI the smaller brackets used on smaller bars are also bare steel from what I have seen also.

I have a '67 500, so yes. It has the 15/16" comp sway bar. However, at some juncture they were replaced with poly units and the original brackets were gone. I picked up a used set, but they had some mild pitting. In a light silver it is going to show.
