Can I assume that this is for the non Shelby coupe in your signature?

Yes, Bob good assumption,  my coupe has had an Autolite marked straight hose fitting cap since I purchased in 1978 - I always assumed it to be factory, but per recent posts on the subject it may not be.   This car was born and sold in San Jose and spent first 11 years there.

Oh and while on the subject am I to assume all the Autolite marked were service replacement? - (seems I have seen a whole lot of used Autolite caps)

I suppose you are referring to the curved cap in referring to the Autolite trademark.  Autolite was used on the straight nipple cap but not until 1969 production. Although I am unfamiliar with the curved nipple cap given the 1969 use of the Autolite trademark on the straight nipple cap it would be a safe assumption that the curved nipple cap would follow suit and be a service cap for a 67 production car.

That makes sense.

I have an NOS cap, same style as pictured but with the oval FoMoCo stamp in the top, not the block. Part number on the blue and gray, original box is:
C4TZ-6766-A. It may be too early for what you need but PM me if interested.

I have not studied these curved nipple caps to answer for sure but for comparison the closed emission push on cap with the large straight nipple used the FOMOCO in script in the oval for at least half of 67 production before changing to the block letters in the rectangle. I am not sure if the curved nipple closed emission push on cap followed suite as far as trademark change is concerned but thought I would mention it.
