289 Rocker Arm Numbers

Ok newbie here. Easy on me guys for this might be a dumb question. What do the rocker arm numbers represent on a 289. I notice a "F" and below two random numbers stamped on each rocker arm. Year, early 1968.
Just curious.
Thanks

Those are typical stock Ford cast iron rail rockers. The letter and numbers represent the mold used to cast that particular rocker. If bad ones started to come down the line anyone could easily tell what mold it came from so that quality control could identify the problem and take appropriate action.
