motor mounts - 69 Convertible

why were the V8 motor mounts for a 69 MUSTANG convertible different?

why were the V8 motor mounts for a 69 MUSTANG convertible different?
I know they allowed the engine to sit lower. Otherwise on a A/C car the compressor bracket can make contact with the hood.

Just a thought - could it have been to tweak the engine/trans combo height or angle to avoid interference with the unique convertible cross member and reinforcement plate?

65-70 convertible Mustang also used a crossmember reinforcement plate. They will all interchange with each other.
