Was the speaker plug changed during the 68,69 or 70 production of the AM/FM Bendix 9FBZ A version of this radio?

It is a three wire connector. Right and left channels and ground.

It was 1971 that the stereo plug on the stereo wiring changed from a 3 pin to a square/rectangular design.  The latter design was also found on some Cougars prior to 71.
