San Jose Plant Employee Visit
« on: May 05, 2012, 11:55:00 PM »
Just got back from visiting with a San Jose plant employee. He worked at the Milpitas plant from 1955 until it closed. I was looking for a part and my search led me to him. He had a huge collection of random Mustang parts and lots of stories. I spent about 2 hours with him looking through parts and talking Mustangs. It was the best 2 hours of my week.

What a memorable and enjoyable look into the past with this gentleman. Must have been fascinating!

This will sound funny but you should somehow document your conversation with him.  An oral history, so to speak, as has been done with WW II veterans.  Perhaps his "story" along with those of other Ford employees will be a valuable asset to future Mustang owners.  Just my  2 cents worth.
