Paint Dabs On Sway Bar Insulators -
« on: March 25, 2013, 06:38:20 PM »
These insulators came from a 65 "K" convertible and as far as known, were original to the car. The current owner wanted a larger front sway bay so I "inherited" the old one with end links from his shop. The paint dab is blue on all eight insulators, have the manufacturer's part number on the other side on four, the others are worn past reading, with a couple of letters and apparently a mold number - 66144 - FG - xx (30, 128, 289, 218). The Ford service part number is KC-55490-A as show in the sway bar end repair kit, C0DZ-5A486-B. The same insulator is used on almost all the cars of that era so it's not a selection problem (unless there are other insulators or bushings that they might be confused with). Anybody see anything like this?
