Did 73 351C 4V cars from Calif come with smog pumps?
« on: June 17, 2013, 12:27:24 PM »
Hi guys,

I can't find out anything on this on the net or shop manuals. Sure would appreciate any info on smog systems for this car or where to look.

No thermactor smog pump on 1973 cars.
1973 was the first year for EGR valves though. They attach to the carburetor spacer on both 351-2V and 351-4V. I don't know about 302 or 6 cylinders though.

No Thermactor systems on 72-3 Mustangs but other systems were used to control emissions such as Distovaca, Transmission controls and as mentioned EGR
