installation of trunk weatherstrip

i am replacing the trunk weather strip on my 70 sports roof trunk lid with a daniel carpenter weatherstrip , my question is do i glue the wide or narrow side to the deck lid, both sides are very close but there is a difference , i did a search but didnt see anything related , thanks  . chuck

Just a note, make sure you thoroughly clean the weather strip with wax and grease remover before applying. There is allot of mold release agent on the rubber that will effect the adhesion. Ask me how I know.
