I see questions posted in multiple forums about High Performance 289 timing set components all the time. Based on my own experiences the typical big chain parts stores will only confuse you more and you may come home with a late 1965 through 1967 camshaft sprocket when you have an earlier engine.

O.E.M. new engine parts, direct quotes from Ford:

"C3OZ-6256-A   Camshaft Sprocket - Cast Iron (before 1/4/65)"

"C3OZ-6306-A   Crankshaft Sprocket - 21 teeth - steel"

"C3OZ-6268-A   Timing Chain - 58 links"

Cloyes(R) brand service replacements:

S350 Camshaft Sprocket

S351 Crankshaft Sprocket

C358 Timing Chain

You are welcome.

The last time I bought Cloyes(R) parts, which was around 2010 maybe, I tried ordering BY PART NUMBERS from one of the local national parts store outlets. The counter person said we should have them Thursday. After work that Thursday, no joy, nothing was delivered.  Waited another week and I was then told the parts numbers were not good. I was ready I had printed out Cloyes and their web pages showing the part numbers. Waited another week and nothing.

I tried a local outlet for a different national chain. Using part numbers I gave them they got all three parts wrong.

As a last try I went to a NAPA(R) store a little further away and got the correct set in two days. I then ordered additional sets to have on the shelf as my life time supply.  Start to finish it was weeks of visiting parts stores.

NOS and NORS Ford service parts are often offered on eBay(R) but usually, but not always, priced pretty high.
