Anyone have a pic of where silver ends at front of rocker panel. Thanks, Ashley
-
Do you mean behind the front fender since the paint on the door and rocker at the front edge of the door is higher than the rocker?
-
Yes, behind front fender. Another question about blackout paint on rear tail light panel and hood underside rear in cowl area. Body color is black with silver on lower. Would blackout have been applied to black paint. Thanks, Ashley

Like I mentioned before not allot of pictures but here is what I found
Appears that on the A pillar and forward rocker the painter just faded down and away and did not extend the color (black of silver all the way to the first edge fo the pinch weld as they would have on a car without the lower paint details
Hope this helps

Thanks for pics you posted. Very helpful, do you know the year of car without fender and the white car?

Looking back to my files - they were the best I could find showing the detail - both 73 Dearborn build cars with the painted lower section

I do believe there was some variation in the rocker panel black/argent over the production years of 71-73. I have several cars I will post for examples.
Pic 1 - Original Paint 71 Boss 351 out of Bob Perkins collection
Pic 2 - My car 72
Pic 3 - Low mileage but repainted 72
In this post Picture #3 for a reported unrestored 73.

I do not believe black would have been applied in these areas on a black car. I do not have any specifics to cite for that just rationalizing.
