Lock out rod detail

Looking for some input on the color slash ( if any) on the lockout rod for a 70 428scj 4 spd mustang built 10/22/69 in Dearborn. thanks Lu

Can't find any reports, pictures or Ford documents that suggest a paint mark (if there was one) for that part

You might want to ask Bob Perkins at Perkins Restorations as any Mustang he has ever owned has been a low mileage Unrestored.
