Running Horse Location
« on: July 26, 2022, 03:10:30 PM »
Didn?t see a topic before but does anyone have the approximate location of the running horse on the grill on a Hertz car? Was there a diagram showing where the horse should be placed? Anyone have measurements on an unrestored example?

Thanks

Here are two examples measured to different points that have been posted on the web earlier. If you notice one is different than the other.

Could post more fro you to figure out , based on the position of the vertical supports, where theirs are placed. Guess I'll look fro some additional examples. Hopefully with visible vertical supports he help locate the emblems position  but these are the two that have a measuring device included.

Thanks Jeff. This should be sufficient in mounting the running horse.

Going to add a couple more from unrestored cars for others that view this thread in the future

This angle shows where the outer retainer is positioned against the vertical support which will allot you to attach it exactly on your car as on these examples

The emblem is a standard Ford part (C4ZB-16228-A) with 2 each, unique to Shelby usage, spring nuts (45052-S7) and 2 each Shelby designed brackets (S2MS-8202-A).
