For a 67 AC compressor clutch wire 19A885, all I can ever recall seeing is black insulation, and the NPD repro is black as well. The schematic calls for wire 348 in "green".
I recall seeing the 348 green wire extending through the firewall a couple inches, and then a single wire extension in black connecting to the wire that is attached to the brushes.
So is black appropriate or should I be looking for green? Thanks, John

John I have never seen a green one. Regardless of assembly plant they all have been black.

+1 what he said.

Thanks - that confirms what I've seen.

May be Ford thought the green wire stood out and looked bad on the engine? Who knows.

This was not a isolated incident as the extension wires were the same colors for wires used on 68,69 and 70 too.

It's a typo. The wire is green under the instrument panel. It becomes black at the firewall. The manuals are not perfect. Very good but like anything made by humans, not perfect.
