1966 Hipo / Shelby manual choke cable
« on: April 09, 2018, 04:12:32 PM »
I recently picked this choke cable up at a local swap meet. I spent $25 on the cable, a 2v spacer, and a 67' tilt wheel rag joint out of a box of miscellaneous Mustang parts. It will not hurt my feelings if you guys think this cable is a repro, but I have to ask.  Repro or NOS??   The couple selling these parts had many pieces associated with HIPOs and Shelby's including an original Paxton suprecharger set-up, HIPO rods, HIPO alternators, and even some NOS Shelby emblems for a 68'. Those "known" items were set in the typical price range.
If this is indeed a repro, or an NOS for that matter, what are the differences?? Thanks for any feedback!

It is a reproduction. Without going into all of the details concerning rubber ,nuts etc. it is missing a fastener on the end of the rubber sheath that is on a original that the repro people chose not to replicate.
