Title: Decoding Bumpers

Stamping numbers on the front bunper are 69 M 8 also has a 5 23 2.  Rear bumper has 3 MZ 0 on it, these were both on a 1970 Mustang.

Would break down similar to other steel metal date patters


5  23  2  would indicate that it was stamped on May 23rd second shift

69 M 8 would indicate that the bumper was stamped in 1969. The M is seen on all the Mustang bumpers I've seen -  Likely IMHO the stamping plant identiftier
