Try Portland Oregon craigslist. Type in mustang at the bottom of the first page there is a guy selling a ton of them. Various stages.

Thx Troy.
Not sure if I need to have the bracket without spring hole. I believe so, because of the early build of my car.
Later versions do have the hole and the spring, but no clue for what reason..... ::)

hole for spring is a passing gear item NOT used on a 67-down Mustang. It was used on other Ford cars & trucks with Auto Trans in 67.

Thx Richard for clarification.
Got a response from that guy on craigslist. Around $80 for a used dashpot....w/o shipping. ::)
So, I'm searching still.

The question was if there was a hole or no hole on "early" (I assume 64-66) brackets for Mustangs. The application and use is interesting but really does not apply.
Back to the question - is there a different dashpot bracket without an additional hole that was used on 64-66 small block Mustangs?

Found this ad on Ebay for early no spring hole dashpot and bracket:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-2100-4100-Series-Carburetor-Dashpot-Bracket-Assembly-Pre-1967-/272470428371
He also sells what he calls 67 and later bracket with spring hole.

Yes, I saw this as well.
But did not buy it, because for that money I'll wait for NOS part showing up.
I'm looking for a working used OEM part, which is in the range of appr. $25- $30

Try http://www.gottafishcarburetors.com (http://www.gottafishcarburetors.com) or look gotta fish up on eBay. I’ve seen him list original functional units for an additional $30 on his eBay listings for carburetors. Good luck!

Might be a good question to start a thread with up in another section of the site rather than an add on discussion to a WANTED ad
