Title: Painting backup light white interior

I had my back up light housing rechromed, tried to paint the inside white and the paint did not stick, it just peeled off, if I spray with a self etching primer first, will the white paint stick?

Hit it with some 400 grit sand paper before you paint.  Paint with light coats.
