WTB: Usable OEM headlight adjusters for '67
« on: September 27, 2016, 02:21:42 PM »
I'm looking for a set (at least two, but would prefer four to do both headlights) of OEM headlight adjusters/aimers for my '67 coupe.  These are the parts that screw into the back of the headlight buckets, and that the headlight aiming screws thread into.  It's essentially a small metal bracket with a threaded nut swedged into place.

I recently had a fun time with the reproduction/junk hardware that comes from China.  These adjusters aren't easy to change, and one of the "new" adjusters immediately broke when I tried to aim the lights.  The reproductions are absolutely worthless.

Too much junk, too little time.

Brett,
You're welcome. I've been thinking on how best to clean the nuts. One possibility is to soak them in Simple Green, or another not too harsh cleaner, and then wire brush them. I've tried using a wire wheel on others but the plastic gets damaged. A Dremel tool is a possibility.
In any case, good luck.
