Getting closer on finishing my 65 Conv. GT I still haven't figured out what this piece is? or even if it's for my car?

It looks like an adjusting bracket. Did your car have non-factory air conditioning?

IMHO Looks like a later model seat belt shoulder belt bracket to me.

It looks to me like a rear alternator bracket from a 350 or 400 Pontiac
