Looking for a nice original trunk lid for a 66 fastback, a show quality original grill (just the grill, not the entire assembly), and a NOS gas cap.

Are you looking for a particular date for the trunk lid?  Just trying to help you get the best match possible.

Did they vary during production? Honestly, not that familiar with the trunk lids. April 66 build date. Car had to be redone after being in a hailstorm and I idiotically decided to go with a dynacorn trunk lid that fits terribly.

The shape and design did not change that I'm currently aware of = just thought if you were looking for matching or original date pattern on your parts you might want to mention it in the request

Did they vary during production?

A 65 trunk lid will fit, but it has different bracing. The hinges are the same. The only problem you may encounter is if the torsion bar retainer spring nut, 380264-S2, is missing or damaged. It is not reproduced.

You can use the different versions of 65-66 fastback hinges on each year but there are different ones for different production periods as discussed in those sections of the site.  Two different ones used on the drivers side in 65 and if I recall correctly three versions of the passenger side

For originality just stick with the 66 trunk hinges and you'll be fine bpmdu
