I have a K code, Metuchen Coupe (~March-April Build 1965 build) and the 4 speed hole for the speedo cable was not drilled into the tunnel. The floors are all original as I have not yet started the metal work. It is interesting to note that the correct spot indicated for the the speedo cable does have a small pilot hole and it appears that it was started to be drilled out but was never completed. This Kar must have had the wrong speedo cable from the factory. Has anyone else ever seen anything like this? How would this have even worked from the factory on a K code with the toploader 4 speed? Seems as if the H-pipe would be in the way?
