Title: Sprayed body sealer over the cork-adhesive sealer on AC expansion valve?

The expansion valve and cap. tube are covered with a cork based adhesive tape where the AC lines pass through the firewall.  Looks like a big ball of gummy stuff was wadded up and stuck in this area.  Was this adhesive sealer also sprayed with the liquid sealer that was used at every other opening on the firewall?

Don't think that was the plan but could see where it could have happened as the worker trailed the sealer from point to point
