Is anyone here going to the Lincoln NE. MCA national 50th celebration? This is my clubs show and I would very much like to meet some of you and see your cars. Registration closes this weekend for the judged classes.
Hope to see you there.

we should arrive late wednesday?? did you remember to order good weather??
-
Arriving Thursday.
I'm sure that I'll be the only 86 Saleen there.
Ditto on the weather. The Springfield guys did a nice job there ---- can you match it? ;D

I had planned to take my GT350, but alas, family obligations have led me to cancel.
-
a 26 hour round trip...Hmmmmm?? :o maybe :-X

Hi Marty,
Yep, as you know, I'm bringing the the 84 and the 67 K Code Coupe. First show for the 67.
Leaving Texas Thursday afternoon. Be there Friday after lunch.
Everyone come join us for a great show.

A real "want to do" for me, but when counting the costs, I could not afford everything involved. If I were to suggest "sleeping in a tent" to the wife, that wouldn't fly! Wife also needs to schedule the time off by (tomorrow) Monday, that is short notice for her. I could swing the gas costs in our 2005 GT and admission, food and all else but lodging puts us out of the game.
What else is coming up, before year's end within maybe 500 miles of the BIG "O"hio?

There are more inexpensive hotels near by in Lincoln. There is not admission cost for spectators and if you help judge you will get a free meal. The cost of our Friday night BBQ is $5.00.We have really tried to make our show affordable.
The only MCA national show left this year are Lincoln NE. and Savannah GA.

The $5.00 BBQ is Friday night and is sponsored by Sam's Club. The Saturday judges meal is sponsored by Runza.
See you there, better bring the wide brim hat!

Pinnacle Bank Arena Festival Space (located between the Arena and the Haymarket Park).
Hi Marty,
Is this the largest lot when looking from an overhead Google map? Am I assuming correctly that trailer parking will be on one of the other lots on the grounds of Haymarket Park? Do you know which one? Will we be directed to that lot for a 1 time park of trailers, unload and drive cars to the show field or are you using a staging area to unload and then move the trailers?
Thanks, Jimmy
-
The lot we are on holds 1600 cars. We will be parking the trailers on the west end of the same lot. There will be signage directing trailers to the west entrance. Once unloaded you must go back out the west gate and around to the east gate where all show cars will all be classified.

Sounds like a plan! Thanks for the info.

Oh well , 5.00 still sounds like a deal. :D I am just getting use to a regular hat (since my head got sun burned at Mustang few years back :'( ) now I have get use to a wide brim one . Man it never stops. ;D I am going to have to ask Marcus how he does since he lives in the desert.

Hope you all have a fun, enjoyable and no issues weekend.
Marty - I'm sure your up to your neck in it and the show will go well.

Cloney Bob:
What's the story with the glove box door and the large upside down lettering? Is that Saleen along a circular line?

I think it is a shadow off his windshield header.
-
Duh! That makes great sense!
-
Yep, shadow from the windshield banner ;D

Love it! Can't wait to see these fine cars in person!

How about a address of the show site for the ole GPS to home in on?
-
Wow! With all these fabulous cars, I am now really feeling sad mine is not ready for prime time yet and I will miss it. Have fun all, enjoy, and I do hope the weather Gods are kind.

401 line drive is the ball park 1 block north, you will see our signs be for you get there. You can smell the Mustangs from there. Our site is so new the google earth does not have it yet.

Good to see that the site will be well represented with great quality examples.
Thanks for sharing the pictures

Great show this weekend and great location...figured I would say as I head back to Arizona early tomorrow morning. Really enjoyed the quality of cars this weekend, and people, some of which I have not met face to face before. I posted pictures of the show on my Facebook page under "Anghel Restorations" since it is easier to share that way. But I thought this was the best picture of the show I was able to capture. Safe journey home to everyone else....

Looks like some clouds though the parking lot is dry.
Apparently a fairly new facility

NICE SHOT!

NICE SHOT!
yes...very nice facility. i was told that this first major event held there.
-
absolutely great show!!! ran like clockwork from my perspective. job well done!!! the awards were inside the arena, cold a/c & soft seats. a good representation of mustangs inside. winners names & car photos on overhead screens. my compliments to the folks who set this up.
-
Great job by Marty & the local club. The weather was challenging at times, and I had my doubt about the venue at first, but it all really worked out nicely. Plenty to do/eat in the Haymarket area, nice show site, beautiful arena for the awards (Tom Osborne speaking too), and the Museum of Speed was INCREDIBLE. I spent WAY too much time cleaning, and really never "made the rounds".
Enjoyed judging the other classes of Concours Foxbody cars, and was able to bring home some more Gold in Concours Driven Saleen. Not a bad weekend at all!
Marty & crew literally poured blood, sweat and tears into their custom awards too. VERY nice!
-
great show, thanks for all your hard work!!!!!

Hi I have to totally agree with Bob. I had a wonderful time. Thank you Marty and your Club for hosting this. I really appreciate the way you kept the trophy's made instate! I know that took a lot of work, but very cool!
Bob - I enjoyed judging with you and the other Bob as well!
Take care

I'd like to add my 02. Hats off to the Nebraska Mustang club. Great job Tari, Marty and JP. You should stick your chest out. Your club members were wonderful really helpful.
-
Thanks for all of the kind words.
We were very honored to have 415 of the finest Mustangs from all over the US and Canada attend our show. Our goals were to offer a event that was affordable, produce a event that was more than a MCA national a 50th celebration experience and that our own club members would have fun doing it. I think we succeeded on all counts.
I did not have much time to talk but it was nice to put faces with some of the names on this forum. Thanks for introducing your selves.
