Just installing my carpet, was there a grommet used around the light dimmer switch, cant seem to find a photo of a original installation, thanks for any information given
-
you will not find one on an original. the grommet was not used. it is something the aftermarket chose to include in the carpet kits. i have deducted points several times for just that item.

Do you mean the "Ooops-Fixer" carpet grommet?

Original carpet installations around the dimmer were a lot "neater" than the current cuts. It's a toss-up, "neat", or a point.

........................... cant seem to find a photo of a original installation,
You likely will not though many unrestored cars have had the carpet replaced back early in their lives.

This is the carpet I have pullet out of my car.
The hole for the dimmer switch has a diameter of 24-25 mm.
In attachment the dimension for the X-Axis and also the dimension for the Y-Axis.
Hope this helps a bit...
Kind regards,
Jeroen
