Title: Power steering hose
Post by: Stangly on May 12, 2012, 01:40:54 AM
Was the original return hose (3A713)one or two pieces.  It looks like two pieces in the master parts manual.  Whats left of the original looks like one piece with a crimped fitting and tube that goes into the control valve and the other end mounts to the pump with a hose clamp.  I ordered a set from Blue Dot specialties and the return appears to be two pieces.  The lower hose appears to go from the valve to the rubber insulator.  It looks I need the second hose from there to the pump which takes a hose clamp on each end.  The master parts manual refers to this part as 3A005.  I have not seen this part in any of my catalogues will any rubber hose work or is this line under pressue also.  NPD  shows a one piece unit as their best reproduction and a two piece as a good repro.  Any help would be greatly appreciated this system seams like alot of messy engineering.
