Is there a "correct" style of lug nut out there for the Mag 500's.

Hmmmn, good question since I'm putting them on a non stock application. Was there a difference between say a '71 Mach 1 or a '72 or so Torino?

Not sure if you already just looked these up in the MPC but if not C4GY-1012-A  are shown as the service replacements for 71 chrome lugnuts in the 75 version of the MPC. You will notice a slight dome or point in the top of the lug nut

Some more info, including 1970 MPC extract.

The C4GY 1012-A is 1.400 inches in length vs the C5ZZ 1012-B which is visibly shorter at 1.156 inches.
