Is 9F02M482016 still out there?
« on: August 20, 2022, 11:24:11 AM »
If this belongs somewhere else please move it. I have no idea how I ended up with a door VIN tag for a 1969 Shelby GT 350 but, I did. It was in the bottom of a box of parts that had been on a shelf for about 20 years. I'd like to send the current owner the tag if they can be found.
VIN is 9F02M482016, BODY 63C, COLOR A, TRIM 3A, DATE 15D, DSO 842650, AXLE O, TRANS X.
If someone has a registry or know who currently has the car please let me know. Thanks, Chuck

Color "A" 🤔

The car was for sale on eBay in 2000

Last listed owner is Tommy Frie of Coppel, Texas

The tag is very clear, it is color A. I think Sheblys didn't use the same color codes as regular Mustangs, I could weld be wrong about that. I sold my last Shelby Mustang many years ago. How in the world did you find an eBay listing from 2000? You must have some mad search skills. Thank you very much responding. Chuck
Thanks, Chuck

Info is from the 2014 Registry. Even at the time of printing, this was mostly outdated as people did not (want to or know they could) update the info. I know several Shelby owners that do not even know the Registery exists.
Accurate looking but not a Concours Restoration/build. See my build photo gallery at 69GT350 Hertz Build

The color codes are the same for Mustang and Shelbys. Code "A" would be black and that would be extremely rare if its the original color.
