1968 Mustang Dash Bezel
« on: March 05, 2024, 12:27:40 PM »
Hi All,
I'm looking for a OEM camera case dash bezel, either NOS or excellent used for my 68.5 fastback restoration.  Pictures and price please.  Thanks!
Jack

I have a 68 NOS standard bezel. It is nice but has an odd color to the chrome. I will try to post a picture.

These guys will strip and rechrome, and respray the black part.  Just an option to consider if you need it. https://vacuumorna-metal.com/

Thanks to both of you.  Any idea of the cost to have a bezel refinished?

I haven't done one for the last two years, and with inflation it's a brave new world.  If you call they will know exactly what you are asking about, and should be able to tell you over the phone

Several years back, I saw a video with Jay Leno using this "spray chrome" technique on part from one of his cars. I don't remember what the part was or what the preparation was but here's a company that does spray chrome.

I used the Vaccum Orna Metal place in Michigan recently. For two dash bezels and painting (they did the baby blue on the back and the black on the front) it was about $970 including return shipping.
