1969 Cyclone rear quarter glass removal tips
« on: December 14, 2019, 09:15:59 PM »
Hi guys,
Working on my uncles 1969 Mercury Cyclone with power windows and was wondering what tricks there are to removing the quarter glass and regulator.  I built a jumper wire and battery to manipulate the window motor. But was wondering what is easiest way to remove everything so car can get blasted.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

First big part is remove all bolts and stuff and drop glass into the quarter panel. Then you can remove the chrome trim on the outside and then pull out the glass. You can not remove the glass with that banana piece in. Also, put glass back in hole before you put the trim on. PM me with anymore questions, have worked on a few of these cars. Chris

Thanks for the reply Chris. Did get them out and yes dropped them after unbolting everything and pulling all the chrome trim and then turned the glass almost 180 degrees and came out upwards toward drip rail, pretty tight fit for a big quarter window. Thanks again
