1969 Shelby Data Tag
« on: May 13, 2020, 12:57:22 PM »
On a dearborn 69 Mustang the data tag would be on the firewall partially covered by the right fender. Does the data tag exist on a 69 Shelby and if so where is it?

Typically a Shelby would not have this tag intact

are you referring to the mustang buck tag attached to radiator support at front end?
To add, the buck tag on a Shelby car was typically taken off the radiator support where it was placed. The tag was enough of a nuisance that it was taken off before the front end fiberglass assembly was lowered into place.   Sometimes the tag was ripped off to remove leaving a piece of the metal tag. Sometimes ripped off but leaving just the screw. Sometimes just the screw hole hole left. A rare few still have the tag in place partially obscured by the front end assembly bolted in place.
