1967 GT500 Gas Cap Emblem
« on: August 27, 2020, 11:12:38 PM »
Any advice on how to remove the original gas cap emblem from gas cap so I can replace with an emblem that I can see? My original faded out. Not sure if prying off is bet bet or just sticking the new one over the old one maybe with a little silicone caulk? Thanks

You can sometimes get the emblem to come loose with a combination of heat to soften the hard adhesive and careful prying. Of course if it is on the car you have to be careful given the fumes from the gas tank.It will not look very good one emblem on top of another. Especially those awful repro mustard colored emblems.
