1967 GT500 fan
« on: September 21, 2020, 08:03:58 PM »
I have a 67 GT500.   Recently the clutch fan started wearing out, so I pulled it.   When I did I noticed it has C7SE-A stamped on the side of the base.   The blades are C6OE-F.  I have been told this is not the correct clutch.  Anyone know for sure?   I bought my GT500 in 1987 so it was 20 years old and obviously had some maintenance done, but appears mostly original.   Also, what is the correct color for the blades?   It currently has a blue center with black blades which I doubt is correct.

C60E-F is the correct fan for your 67 GT500. From the factory it was completly semigloss black . A past owner apparently added their artistic license when painting it with a blue center . ;) The C7ZX-A is the factory correct fan clutch for the 67 GT500. The C7SE-A is a viable service replacement however it puts the fan slightly closer to the radiator fins . The C7ZX-A was only serviced for a very short period of time. Fortunately if you so choose to replace it there is a very exact replacement available from http://www.brownsautobodyservices.com/  .

Thank you for your quick answer.   I ordered that new clutch.   Last question on this, which of these has the correct attaching bolts for the fan to the clutch?

The first top picture. AMK sells a attachment kit. NPD carries it too.
