Topic: Story behind this picture?

Has anyone seen this before or have a back-story?

Maybe some one in styling requested some pictures and this picture was one of a set taken for the person or group that requested. That's my guess given the late in the year some one was working on something possibly for 69 or 70 production year.

Have not seen a reference to S-11378-3 in any document I've seen or any of the possible other pictures in that set other than that single shot

What's odd about this photo is the date of 6/5/67. That's a month after the running change to the 67.5 front-end (a/k/a/ 'outboard' high-beam location), and less than two months from the last car being completed at the airport in late July 1967. The only theory we can float is that this photo is of a car that AO Smith may have had specific involvement in (previously), with the front-end and hood.

The only white G.T. 350 that we (the SRG) KNOW was sent to Ford/Dearborn was car #0018 - one of two units finished by SAI on the first day that cars were completed. Of course #0018 would have had a 1-piece slanted grille with painted trim rings to go with a poorly fitting hood and front-end, but who knows, after serving initial PR duty, maybe she was sent to AO Smith and repurposed for engineering...

I also posted the picture in a FB Group called "ONLY Vintage Photos TAKEN from 1930-1969" and was getting good feedback that day.
ADMIN of that group cut me off for 30 days for no disclosed reason...so I cannot comment there till November 16th. (I looked up all my activity and found no violations but...here we are!)
