Natural Alternator Bracket
« on: June 22, 2021, 08:27:56 AM »
I have been deducted a couple of times for the alternator bracket being natural on our 12-02-67 68 GT350. I was told that it needed to be painted black, I always try to research and be certain that the change would be correct. I discovered that C and J code engines built before 3-1-68 used a C6OE-10156-A bracket that was natural. It was replaced with a C8OE-10156-A bracket that was painted black. The C8 bracket stamped steel and is thinner. The change was made due to a change in the air-conditioning bracketing. I thought others might find this interesting.
