Engine wire harness on export brace passenger side strap?
« on: November 16, 2021, 10:57:15 AM »
Researching for a 66 Hertz but I guess would apply to any export car with the export brace but what was used to hold up the wires for the engine gauge feed that make their way over to the starter solenoid? The non export and non shelby cars had two different style clips depending on where it was made that clipped on the factory cowl brace but when that was removed what was used? Did the wire just dangle? I looked through the 66 unrestored Shelby?s and didn?t see a clear shot.

None originally installed. But you will find some early owners that used tape to hold up the wire loom to the export brace because of concerns

Don't believe you will find any pictures of a retainer in the pictures of unrestored 66 Shelby's in that section of the site. With tension between the two other points it appears to hang well above the headers
