Help identifying holes on apron

What are the two holes shown on the driver side apron on the strengthening rib closest to the firewall? The holes forward of these toward the front of the car are for the windshield washer bag. This car was built with 2 speed wiper and washer.

They don't look like factory holes. Maybe some accessory or ignition box mounted there in the past?
