Remote Mirror Cable Lubrication?
« on: December 04, 2022, 08:32:03 AM »
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to lubricate the inside of the 1970 driver's side remote mirror control cables? Mine seems to be binding in such a way that the mirror doesn't move freely when installed. There are no kinks in the cable.

I usually give a shot of WD-40 to stuck cables. I've also used graphite powder but applying powder to a cable usually requires removing the wire.

Scott, some motorcycle suppliers sell a set up with a can of spray lube for doing just this to motorcycle cables.
