It was posted on the SAAC forum that Randy Gillis passed away. He was very well known for sharing information with others. He will be missed. Here are many compliments for him when he recently retired.

1968 CJ - Owner and paint original. Dec 67 build in Dearborn. One of 50 135 Cobra Jets. Ford engineering used it for 8 mos. to resolve problems in the 50 early car build. Ford by-passed the normal sign off to get cars to the Winternationals drag race.

Randy was a wealth of engine information . He drag raced his 66 Shelby like nobody else I have ever heard of . Randy will be sorely missed. RIP my friend.

Just got home and what terrible news.

Have lost a GREAT resource and friend but fond memories and remembrances will accompany me the rest of my like because of him.

Thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family
