Need clips for fuel and vacuum advance lines for 1966 200. Hold lines together and is there supposed to be a clip for valve cover in front

Believe this subject has been visited in the past. Were you not able to find it in a search?
In addition believe one or more members had posted request for sources for the items

Should be a clip on the valve cover but its very hard to find and, if do find one and the person knows its rarity, be prepared to pay a high price for a small detail part. The other "C" line clips to hold the lines together are also hard to find. No reproductions made for either that I know. Of course this is all from my own experience restoring my 66 Sprint.

I agree they are both hard to find and expensive. I have no idea why they are not reproduced, except I guess there are not enough concourse 6 cylinder cars.
Fifteen years ago, I paid $100.00 for one. I found an unrestored car on eBay and talked the seller of that car to remove his clip and sell it to me.
In the early 2000s, I turned down $250.00 for mine ( it was on my car ) at a MCA National show.
I have only seen 1 other for sale since early 2000, and it sold at another MCA National show for $250.00.

I read somewhere that Scott Drake was looking into it. About 2 years ago I called them to ask about it. They told me they had started working on it but the tooling was expensive and they didn't think they could recoup the investment. So it was on the back burner and they didn't think it would happen anytime soon.
I guess it wouldn't hurt to keep asking about it. Maybe they will reconsider.
But in the mean time I made my own. I am not exactly sure how. I may have posted about it at the time. Basically I bought the 8 cylinder version and did some cutting and welding and bending to make one that worked. I thought about trying to make it from scratch but it has compound bends where the lines go which would be really difficult to make with first making a die.

Can you post some pictures of the clip you made?

The 1966-1970 I6 Valve cover (Phosphate and Oil) clip is not reproduced. I have for the past few years contacted Scott Drake and Virginia Classic Mustang to reproduce this I6 Valve cover clip that was used in literally Millions of cars. Noone has stepped up to the plate yet unfortunately, so it is not repro'd
The Vacuum line, Fuel line and Transmission line "C" clips in (Phosphate and Oil) clips are currently reproduced and can be found through NPD, and Virginia Classic Mustang may have them as well.

Can you post some pictures of the clip you made?
I thought I had some but cant find them. This is the best I have right now. If you look closly you can tell that I modified the top side of the clip.

Thanks, it still looks a LOT better than having the lines hanging loose.

Yeah, Now if we can only get someone to repro that clip used on millions of cars...

I found two original rusty Clips, cost me a buck at the junk yard, and found that it is almost identical to the Transmission Clip; the width is identical as is one end, it's the Vacuum Line end that needs to be modified. To that end, I went to the hardware store and bought two steel rods; one the diameter of the Vacuum Line and the other the Diameter of the Fuel Line.
I've not been able to do anything for a while but hopefully soon will get a chance to weld the rods together (side-by-side) which will give me the form I need and then bend one end of the Transmission Clip to the smaller Vacuum Line size. I haven't decided yet how to approach the extra length this creates and the sharp bend at the end but I purchased several Transmission Clips to experiment with. I also plan to use my heat gun instead of a torch to make the metal easier to bend and which I hope will preserve the finish.
The Valve Cover Clip I don't have an answer for at this point but will look into it. My cars have been '65's, so didn't need it.
I'll let you know how it turns out, pictures, etc.

Hotwheels139, I found the clip you're looking for. Before I let loose of it though I'm going to attempt to make one and need this original as my model.
I made a Fan Shroud Bracket not long ago using an original I borrowed from and through the courtesy of one of our members that turned out real well but was larger and easier to do. I had fun making it and then found out that they're already being reproduced by Classic Auto Air.
I'll also be working on trying to reproduce the smaller c-shaped clip for the Vacuum and Fuel Lines.

I found and bought the Clip in the first photo a few days ago just to see if I can fabricate one. The second photo is of a 6 Cylinder Fan Shroud Bracket that I made. Turns out that there is already a totally unrelated part that is the exact same width and thickness, I'm not going to share what it is just yet and no it's not the V8 version, that shouldn't be too difficult to bend and have worked out how to make the curled edges on the lower half without the need of any special tooling.
The first one will not be 100% correct. The part I plan to modify already has the small notch at the top but it is somewhat round, not square as the original. Once I have the bends worked out, I'll figure out how to make the square notch. Once that's done I should have an exact copy of the original.
If successful, I'll gladly supply a Clip to anyone who may need one...no promises yet though.

It's not going to be easy to bend. That stuff is made of spring steel, strong but brittle. It breaks real easy under any heavy tension...
