Rebuilding a C6.
The manual lever on the one I have is a PO "creative" application involving scrap metal, mediocre welding skills and an eye towards corner cutting. A cobbled up part that "fits" but makes installing the neutral safety switch impossible.
So.. does anyone have a '68 S C6 and know the part number (should hopefully be stamped on it, mine is a C9xx-x part). This is the input shaft thru the case that the shift arm connects to and the neutral switch slips over...
Any assistance appreciated.

This may be what your looking for
C6OZ-7A256-B (either original or at least the service part according to a 72 version of the MPC I have an electric copy of )

Thanks Jeff, that appears to be it.
Cross refs to a few sites like Mansfield and WCCC show a repro version of that number that looks very similar to the one on my 68 S/C6 convertible, which had no visible marks to be seen from below lying under the car after pulling off the neutral switch...
A happy and safe New Year to all.

It is the C6OZ and has no engineering marks on it. I wouldn't bother trying to find used. The reason Mansfield makes them is originals wear a ridge that makes them leak
