Title: 1968 Option "CS"
Post by: Sunlitgold68 on April 11, 2010, 08:36:42 PM
For 1968, on the underhood metal plate that shows what options your car came with, what do the letters "CS" stand for?

According to K. Marti's "Tagbook", it indicates side tape stripes with a notation of after Jan '68.  I take this to mean 'C' stripes.

I saw a 68 coupe at the Charlotte Auto Fair and "CS" was the only option. It had the C stripes, pop open gas cap and no front bumper guards. I didn't think C stripes could be ordered by themselves. It was nice survivor car, all original.
