Title: Reproduction Radiator Question
Post by: bjf1992 on April 19, 2015, 02:11:16 AM
I have managed to misplace my original radiator. (I get sick just thinking about it) It is (was) an original C8ZE S-1 unit 428/390 auto tranny.

Does anyone repop these yet?? Or am I on the hunt for another one.......

Also I have two C9ZE k-1 radiators. It appears the tanks are the same, just 2 row instead of 3row. I'm assuming I could get one of these recored with 3 rows?? (At least I'd still have a FOMOCO stamp on the tank even if I'm missing the correct part number and date code on the side??

You don't mention where your car was built- since there are a couple of different vendors depending on assembly plant. But in either case there are no reproduction radiator being made just replacements.

Best to get a used one (after you figure out what vendor you need) then have one rebuilt so that the markings and dates are at least correct for your car.

Tough to find typically. I know of two different people looking for that exact same radiator at this moment.

You'll be looking for the one with the stamping (engineering number and date) on the side strap

Not sure where this picture came from but if your out there - Thanks :)

Might be able to sell the C9ZE K-1's to cover the cost - if you can find one
