Title: 65 - Extra firewall holes?
Post by: dlsimon212 on May 02, 2010, 03:24:46 AM
I have a couple of holes in the firewall that I don't think belong there. There is an odd hole above where the blower motor mounts,,, and in the other pic, I'm wondering about the right round hole above the rectangle hole(by the master cylinder area). I assume I need to fill these in correct?

crap,, I can't upload my pics,, I click on the image icon with no luck

On my 65 just one hole above the rectangle hole (for tranny neutral switch), but a dimple on either side like the hole could be punched for something, On my 66 I have two holes punched, the large one above the left side of the rectangle (for tranny neutral switch),  and then another to the left of that hole (power top wire), Maybe the one on the right for a car with air conditioning? I think the hole above the the blower motor shouldn't be there.

Agree that the hole right about the rectangle hole is most likely for the A/C compressor lead.

The hole over by the heater blower is definitely not original and should be closed up.
