Does anyone know of any other Ford/Mercury cars that had rear chrome bumper guards like 65-66 Mustangs? Bought a pair of what I thought were early bumper guards with no rubber tips, but do not fit a Mustang. They are very similar in appearance and marked 'R' and 'L'. Already had them re-chromed, should have compared to originals first.
Thanks for any help, just trying to figure out what they fit.

Take a look at a '67 Cougar Charles and see what you think. I just Googled a few places and saw some rear-view photos showing some that are very close in appearance. Not on the '68's though and I had not remembered that.

Thanks Lance, that's exactly what they are, appreciate it!
Any idea what a pair of re-chromed originals are worth?

Great! Glad to help out Charles. Seeing all the NOS ones for early Mustangs, with some re-chromed one's scattered in on eBay, think I'd say at least around the $100 range, maybe a bit more. Chroming is not very "inexpensive" these days either, but if I were looking for some and found some from a trustworthy source like yourself, I'd gladly pay that I think. Certainly wouldn't worry about the quality, that's for sure!
