Title: 1966 200 6 Cylinder Alternator Brackets Correct Color
Post by: 6S280 on September 16, 2015, 07:44:08 PM
What is the correct color for the lower alternator bracket mounted to the block and for the upper alternator bracket mounted to the water pump? I am working on a 1966 Dearborn Sprint 200 C-4 automatic, non-AC and non power steering with an April February, 1966 scheduled build.  Thanks, Roger

The top bracket I believe is black but the adjustment bracket can be blue or black.

Thanks Chris.  Any other perspectives on the color of these 2 brackets?

For the two Alternator Brackets in question, Both should be painted Ford Corporate Blue for the 1966 Model year, The same as the engine color.  I don't think there was any deviation that I know of for these bracket colors between plants.  I think that they were all painted Blue for '66.  I have never seen otherwise.
