Title: Big block transmission line clip - reference
Post by: WT8095 on October 07, 2015, 08:29:19 PM
Posting this here as a spin-off of a discussion on transmission line clips for 64-1/2-66: http://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=12073.15 (http://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php?topic=12073.15)

This clip was recently pulled from a 1967 XL, 390-2V. The bolt is a 1/2-13 thread. The clip measures 1" wide. Of the clips shown in the '69 standard and utility parts catalog, it most closely resembles a 370717, but does not have the "double hump". Until I track down a better match, I plan to use this clip on my '68 S-code.

Here is where the clip was located: in the red oval, bolted to the block just above the pan rail. Almost impossible to make out as it was entombed in grease. The blue circle shows the small spring clip that was holding the lines together.
