Vent Windows are chrome.

Door glass is stainless.

Door glass is stainless.

I knew the trim piece that actually goes around the glass was stainless.  I didn't know the frame itself was.  Mine is very rusty.  So I guess its not something that can be re-plated.

Ok, you're talking about the part inside the door, the metal thats under the glass?

I was told to dip in evaporust and paint stainless steel color, that's about all you can do for that.

They were zinc plated.

Charles, do you normally replate these pieces?

Charles, do you normally replate these pieces?

I know he did on the current (the K code vert) project

Yes, normally re-plate them.  Not any problem.

Glass is held in with glass tape, it pulls right out of the bottom frame and also the top stainless frame.

Charles, do you tone down the zinc like the other parts we discussed.

The clear zinc usually doesn't need anything.

My rollers look weak, the rivet part, are they suppose to be riveted in tightly? I can move the rollers around easily.... in several directions.

I was just looking at the ones on my regulators and was wondering the exact opposite.  They seem very tight and they are hard to turn.  I was going to try to soak them since I think they got filed up with grime.  I would think they should spin fairly easily but not be so loose they they can be tilted.

This is probably an easy fix.

Charles, if the plastic window roller guides move around easily, can this be fixed? Looks like the rivet part is worn.

Can probably use a punch to tighten up the rivet.
